Focus
To focus means to say yes to one thing and no to all others.
I find that hard to do.
Because I am interested in so many things at the same time.
I am curious by nature.
Yes, I too suffer from shiny object syndrome.
Look at my projects folder, there are 88 projects in there.
That’s just on this machine.
There are over 100 more on my older machine.
And an absolute overflow of ideas.
And none of them will ever see the daylight.
But if you do everything a little, you can’t do anything well.
It’s focus, that commitment, that allows you to progress and compound deeply.
I know what it’s like to be pulled into different directions.
It drains your soul.
So it’s better to commit to one thing, even if it’s not the best one, and to move forward.
